We Welcome Active Military and Veterans

The appearance of U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) visual information does not imply or constitute DoD endorsement.

Lindenwood University recognizes the sacrifices our U.S. military service members and their families have made for our country. Therefore, we are committed to serving you in advancing your education.

As a student, you’ll gain real-world skills in career-ready degree programs that offer challenging curriculums and academic support. Expert faculty members share a genuine passion for your success, both in and out of the classroom. Whatever your long-term professional goals may be, Lindenwood is dedicated to helping you succeed.

Use Your Benefits

We’re committed to helping you acquire the education you’ve earned. We can help you determine eligibility and use the variety of programs available to make your out-of-pocket costs as low as possible.

GI Bill®

GI Bill benefits can be used by U.S. military veterans, active-duty service members, spouses, and dependents. Benefits include the Post-9/11 GI Bill, Forever GI Bill, Montgomery GI Bill, Veterans’ Educational Assistance Program (VEAP), and more.

Yellow Ribbon

Under the Yellow Ribbon Program, degree-granting institutions can fund a percentage of tuition expenses that the VA matches. We’re proud to contribute the maximum percentage rate of 50%. We don’t have program limits or enrollment caps for the program, and we work to make your private education affordable.

Tuition Assistance

Active-duty service members may be eligible to utilize Department of Defense Tuition Assistance — it covers tuition expenses up to $250 per credit hour.

For more information regarding the GI Bill or Tuition Assistance benefits, contact our School Certifying Official, Nia Spencer, at nspencer@lindenwood.edu or 636.627.2922.

Transfer Credits

You can save time and money earning your degree by transferring previous college credits and earning credits for career experience through CLEP testing. There is no limit on credit hours that students may transfer to Lindenwood for undergraduate degrees — you could complete your degree with as few as 30 credit hours. A maximum of 9 semester hours is allowed for graduate programs.

Veterans Affairs Center

Our Veterans Affairs Center is here to help you succeed as you transition to academia. You’ll get one-to-one support to navigate your military education benefits, so you pay the least out-of-pocket expenses. We’ll also connect you to resources to make the transition to academic life easier.
